8/1/2008 - The logs are a little different than in the picture (on Atlas Quest) http://www.atlasquest.com/showinfo.html?gBoxId=46232 now as they have been moved a bit since we planted the box. There is basically just one large log and the box is hidden under it.

We planted this box on our way to Yellowstone National Park. It was our first visit and although we did not see any grizzly bears we did see quite a few animals including bison, a black bear, elk, moose, deer, a fox, a coyotee, a bald eagle etc. It was a wonderful first visit to the park. This box is a fast find because I had about 5 minutes to plant it.

In West Yellowstone locate the Dude Motel on Madison Ave and Boundry Street. Directly across the street from the Dude Motel is River Side Trail. Standing at the Trail Head Sign head down the path to the east 56 steps or 28 paces. Turn to your left (north) and take another 10 steps or 5 paces. At your feet you will find two fallen logs. It is not under the very large fallen log that is behind the two smaller logs. Check the picture on Atlasquest if you are not sure. Lizman is pointing to the exact spot. Move the smaller log on the left and buried under dirt and brush at the uprooted end of the larger log you will find “Sizzly Grizzly”.

Should you note the box missing or the contents in bad repair please contact me at Blackvelvetrav@yahoo.com. I live in Boise, Idaho so it may take me some time to provide first aid or a replacement box. Happy Hunting!
