from car to letterbox is 2.3 miles
round trip with loop is 5 miles
This box starts at Lamson Corner "rt 69 & scoville rd.
in burlington
park next to cemitary & trail gate on East side of road.
follow the Blue Blaze with orange dot in it all the way to the kitchen. as you walk down the trail you will come to an intersection about {3/4 mi.}this is clarks corner,Now you are on Stony Hill rd. soon you will cross a small stream that feeds into the New Britain Reservoir continue over a second stream "dry stream" and up to a fork "trees open up"go left staying on the orange dot trail cross over the log land bridge. as you come down to the bottom of the hill keep a close eye out for the orange dot trail {it goes to the left a little} go up the gorge into the kitchen watch out for critters, slithery ones & fury ones. as you reach the top you will come to a small bridge that goes nowhere.
this is a good place to do your stamping.the box is hiden in the big rock you just past with the two big logs leaning against it. please rehide and enjoy. if you continue on the orange dot trail you will enter Nassahegan State Forest. You can loop back to Clacks Corner if you take a left on the Blue Blaze Trail. the Loop is 1 mi.from the box to Clark Corner.going back the way you came is 5/8 mi. back to CC
