Learn and Grow - updated 4-20-2008
all is well with the box

This box is dedicated to all the children who have, are, and will go to Learn and Grow Home Child Care.

Walk: Easy to Moderate - Not far, but the walk is rocky and a bit unstable. If it has recently rained parts of the walk may be muddy.

Stamps: 1 Hand carved

Needed: Bug Spray, Sunscreen

Be careful: Poison Ivy, Thorns, wobbly rocks, dirt bikes

Directions: : 495 to exit 20 Milford Rt. 85
Off the exit turn towards Milford
At first set of lights- go right at Wendy's
onto Dilla Road. Pass Louisa Lake on the right.
At the end of the road at the lights go right onto Purchase Street. Travel a few miles, on your right will be a daycare/ preschool Mother Hubbard’s.

Only after 6:00 pm Monday- Friday
All day weekends and Holidays
Please park in Mother Hubbard’s parking lot - the furthest space from the building.

OR - After the parking lot - there is a small pull off under the power lines - park there anytime.

Clues:
Head down the trail under the power lines.
Watch out for dirt bikes.
Observe the nice view from the top of the first small hill.
This is a lovely walk for a Botanist! Lots of different plants.
Walk over the wire cable passing over the trail. DO NOT TOUCH!
Continue down a small hill - again be careful of your footing.

Listen to the beautiful birds, crickets, movements of the chipmunks and squirrels. Also, the LOVELY HUM of the electrical wires.

As you walk further down the trail there will be a road to the right. This leads to a back yard. You keep walking straight.
Soon there will be a fork in the path. From here, if you look ahead you should see the next road that crosses under the power lines.
To the left looks like a small path for rain run off.
To the right the path/trail/road continues.
In the middle of the fork there are some plants.
Find the largest bush. Beneath that bush, under some stones you will find the Learn and Grow letterbox.
