Description:
This is a favorite park my family likes to go to. It has lots of shade trees, and boarders the Mountain Dell Golf Course which is considered by many to be the most beautiful public golf course in Salt Lake. It's about 8 degrees cooler in the summer than the Salt Lake Valley.

Directions:
Take I-80 east toward Cheyenne,WY,up Parley's Canyon. Take the East Canyon 134 exit heading north. You'll come to a sign by the frontage road that says, Mt.Dell Recreational Area. Turn right(east)and go past the golf course club house to the end of the road, then left down into Geo.Washington Park. Keeping to the right, follow the road passing the Play Area and picnic tables on your left. The road is "U" shaped and turns left(north) at the end of the grass, and then left(west) again. You are now heading back on the other side of the picnic area. Park just past the shrubbery where the grass starts. Walk on the road back to the corner. On your right is a large tree with a large piece of its bark missing. The letterbox is hidden next to the trunk under a chunk of bark surrounded by rocks. This can be a busy area for golf carts and people, so be discreet in removing it, and rehide well so nothing is showing. When you stamp the Log Book, please write the DATE,TIME,WHERE YOU'RE FROM, and a COMMENT. That way I'll get to know you better. Enjoy the area and bring a picnic!!!
(email me and let me know if you found it.)
Be sure and look for the Hello from Washington letterbox that is hidden in the park too.
