Difficulty: Easy

Always a treat to be at the beach! Although this beach is not the Caribean, why not take some time during this letterbox hunt to enjoy Lake Lashaway! It's a nice clean and sandy bottom lake with a large town beach that is open to the public.

Clues:
Heading East or West on Route 9, turn down Maple Street and follow the paved road, that turns into a dirt road (make sure to relieve yourself before this trip as the road is quite bumpy!!!) until you come to a sharp left turn. Right in front of you will be the parking lot for the town beach. Park anywhere in the lot.

To find the letterbox -
To the South of the parking lot, near the entrance opening in the fence is a large tree. This tree sits in a small almost triangular grassy clearing. You will recognize the tree by it's four arms.

With your back to the tree and facing the water, walk a heading of 340 degrees. This will take you past a telephone pole (a standing one, not a horizontal one) and diagonally across the beach parking lot. Continue walking diagonally until you come to the edge of the wooded area. Make your way into the wooded area toward the corner of the fence. Look for a large rock - there is an arrow shape on the top of the large rock. The arrow points to the letterbox! You will need to look under a rock, sticks and leaves, but it will be easy to find! Once you find it be sure to camouflage the box well before you leave and put the rock back on top!

Thanks for stopping by and please let me know if the box needs attending.
