Go to the Somnolent Native American Nap Stop, 2 miles west of Ruins Road. Start at the 2nd (northern) entrance to the little hiking trail. The trail makes a wide curve to the right and Mesa Verde's Point Lookout comes into view at 144°. A diamond sign is visible in the distance to the right of a large juniper. Go to the standing dead juniper 14 steps at 246°. Busy area, exercise care.
