Difficulty: easy, one hill
Placed : September 10 ,2002 ~ by franzsolo... (motofranz@webtv.net )
Driving directions: see Past Lives II

Please bring a compass,pen,and ink pad,and maybe a "Whistle "

Clues :
At the West end of the parking lot at the events board and check out the park map.
Notice the trail to the Right and how it loops around the picnic shelter.
Take a heading of appr. 290º along the roadway past the bronze statue of a young boy reading a book on tailoring.
A little farther along you will come to a sign (on your Right ) that says: " Meadow Land Nature Area."
Head out at 40º down the hill on the mowed pathway.
You will cross over 2 small wooden footbridges.jump over a small fallen tree, and end up at a wooden bridge with one handrail on your Right. (the other handrail is in the creek )
From the end of the bridge ,with your compass over the end of the handrail take a reading of 320º.
Walk toward a forked ( "Y " ) tree about 12 paces. (a pace = 2 steps ; about 5 feet )
The letterbox is behind that tree covered with twigs and bark.
Please replace the cover when finished.
Thanks ,
franzsolo...
