Seabrook found its beginnings in recorded history in 1832 when Ritson Morris, a native Virginian, obtained a league of land from the Mexican Government. A portion of that land was purchased by Seabrook W. Sydnor in 1895 and a plat was filed with the Harris County Courthouse the following year. In March of 1903, the Seabrook Company of Houston filed a revised layout of the proposed Seabrook Town site. Today, eleven miles of waterfront make it an ideal place for business and leisure activities, especially with 14 parks consisting of over 100 acres. One of them, McHale Park, is a great place to view Galveston Bay and many birds, along with this microbox.

Directions:
From Hwy 146 in Seabrook, go east on second street to Todville road and turn right (south). Go .5 mile and turn left (east) on Waterfront street, which dead ends into McHale Park.

Clues:
From the parking lot, walk east to the boardwalk leading to the overlook but turn right (south) instead of entering. Walk 19 steps across the grass to the second bench. Turn right (west) and walk 25 steps to a planter box with a large palm tree at the left edge. The camo microbox is on the left side within one of the cut fronds about 5 feet high under a rock. Please replace as described.
