1912- John Wingate Weeks was elected to US Senate He was a US senator that was performing and aiding in passage of legislation to establish Forest reserve program Weeks act- Creation of forest Reserves in the White Mountains, allowed the Federal Government to incorporate Private forest land into National forest system, where the best methods of Forest management were used
At the Park:

Head up rte 3 in NH to Lanchester, you may even see a moose on this road. When you get to the entrance, you will see a stone wall that is before you head up the hill to the park. Head to south end of stone wall, right before the stone wall turns into a wooden fence. You will find it in the stone wall.
