Tennis Menace
To get to Geyser Park: From downtown Saratoga Springs, take route 50 (Ballston Ave) south to Geyser Road, taking a right to go west. From the south, take the Northway (87) to exit 13N, take Route 9 north to Avenue of the Pines in Saratoga Spa State Park (after you pass Saratoga Honda on the right at Crescent Ave, it’s the next traffic light, there will be a sign for Saratoga Performing Arts Center). Make a left into the park and drive straight thru (be careful it’s a 25 mile an hour zone). Go through the light at the end of the park (that’s Route 50 you’re crossing) straight onto Geyser Road going west.
Going west on Geyser Rd, make a right at the first light (Grande Industrial Park, the road is County 44) and a quick left west onto Adams Road. Park in the parking lot just before the tennis courts (2nd parking lot on your left). Walk on the grass west along Adams Road keeping the fence in front of the tennis courts on your left. You’ll see another parking lot just past the tennis courts (sometimes roped off). Walk into the parking lot and enter the walking path immediately on the right. The path goes along Adams Road. There will be a fence on your right. Stay on the path until you can exit through the fence. Do not exit through the fence. At the exit point , turn left into the woods. You will see a fallen tree. Walk into the woods following the fallen tree to its’ end and turn left again. Look for a fallen tree attached to its stump. Under roots and stump covered with bark and leaves is tennis menace. We hope you like our very first stamp and log book. Please re-hide well and thanks for visiting our letterbox.
PS: Geyser Park has a nice gravel track, great for jogging & walking, a couple of playgrounds, and sprinklers in the summer. Have fun.
