Agnes Vaille Falls trail leads to a lovely view and a nice falls and is just 1/2 mile long.It is only about 25 minutes from Buena Vista in the Chalk Creek area. I named my stamp/letterbox "trout" in honor of the first fish my daughter has caught in a lake nearby.
The trailhead is easy to find. It's approximately 5-7 miles past Mount Princeton Hot Springs on CR 162 heading towards St. Elmo (West). See the trailhead on the right, near Chalk Lake campground.
Travel up the trail just 2-3 minutes until you see a powerline overhead crossing the trail. Turn right , off the trail, and follow the powerline past one post to the 2nd post (from the trail) which holds the line up. There are many rocks in the area. One rock sticks up a little higher than the others, about 5-8 steps north of this 2nd powerline post. Under it is the letterbox. Take routine care when reaching in for box.
