This is a set of four letterboxes that can be found from Cascadia Park outside of Foster and Sweet Home. There are two hikes, one to a beautiful fall, and one to indian writings on a cliff. The clues here will lead you to the first letter box of the series. Inside of box #1 will be clues to box #2, Box #2 has clues to box #3 and box #3 has clues to box #4, so you will want bring a pad and paper with you to copy the clues down. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE CLUES or no one else can locate the last 3 boxes.
My husband and I placed all of these boxes in one day with our 6 kids ages 7,6,3,4,1 1/2 & 6 weeks. We packed the 2 babies, but the 3 & 4 year old had a hard time with the last mile and a half of the day
box #1 can be found in a matter of minutes
box #2 is a short hike 3/4 of a miles each direction, but uphill the first direction
box #3 can also be found in a matter of minutes
box #4 is a hike 1 1/2 miles each direction, is very flat, but a little brushy
Directions to box/clue #1 "The Fountain of Youth"
*From I5 take Lebanon/Sweet Home Highway 20 exit and go east on Highway 20
*You will travel through Lebanon, continue east on Highway 20
*You will travel through Sweet Home, push your mile counter as you pass Mcdonalds (shortly after the 3rd light)
*Continue on highway 20 13.2 miles from Sweet Home McDonals To Cascadia Park
*At Cascadia Park turn left, you will go over a bridge
*Turn right at the end of the bridge,
*You should see a sign on the right (in the parking lot) that says "Soda Springs Trail". Park near here as you'll be taking this trail
*Follow the soda springs trail about 20 yards, turn right cross the bridge turn right again and stop at the entrance of the rock walled landing
*Take one step into the walled area and turn to your left
*Walk to the corner of the landing where you will see an obvious hole in the wall at the bottom
*step over the short wall, and look under the moss overhang by your feet for clue/box #1
*be sure to hide this box back well after you have copied the directions, and good luck on your other hunts
NOTE: In case you are not up for both hikes in one day, clue/box#3 is listed as a separate letterbox "tribal treasure", and holds the clue to #4, the second hike, so you can do them separately
