The Maine Schoolhouse Box is located on the Nature Trail behind the Susanne M. Smith School in Levant, Maine.
Levant is located 10 miles west of Bangor. Travel west on route 222 (Union Street). Pass through "Levant Village". About 1 mile you will see the Griffin Road on the left. Turn here and follow this road the the school. You can't miss it!
Locate the beginning of the Levant Fitness Nature Trail (back right) of the school. Clearly marked by a big sign.
Enter this trail and enjoy a quiet walk in the woods. Pass by a spooky stump on the left. Stop and do step-ups if you wish. Cross over the bridge (watch out for trolls!) Watch for the Jump Touch station. Pass it by and look for a rock wall on the right. Staying on the right side of the wall take about 16 paces. Look for a moss covered stump near the wall. To the left of the stump see a flat faced rock. Below/left is a loose rock. Move this rock to find the box.
