Take I-40 East out of Asheville. Take the Montreat exit, Exit 64 and take a left at the light onto Highway 9. Continue north on Highway 9 through Black Mountain. You'll know you've reached your destination when you come to the rock gate that marks the entrance to Montreat. Continue straight through the gate and Highway 9 will turn into Assembly Drive.
Stay on Assembly Drive, passing a softball field, tennis courts, and a playground on your right.
1. Turn right onto Lookout Road and park in the parking lot in front of Anderson Auditorium.
2. Go to the Children's playground by walking down the wooden walkway from the Walkup Building. (low one-story building down the hill from Anderson Auditorium.)
3. Cross over both bridges.
4. At the end of the second bridge turn left and walk along the edge of the creek.
5. When the stone wall along the edge of the creek turns left, go straight ahead and look under the walkway leading up to the Child Care Center.
6. The box has a blue lid and is about the size of a sandwich.
