This is a beautiful waterfall that has three landings to play in. Our boys aged 7 and 9 love playing in the pools at three different levels. At the top is a deeper pool that they can jump in and hunt for crawfish. It is a short hike and always feels much cooler than in town.

From I-75 out of Atlanta:

Go north, past I-285 to I-575. Take I-575 North. Becomes GA-515 North (also becomes US 76 East / GA–2 East). Go 50 or so miles, 15 miles past East Ellijay, GA to Blue Ridge. Then follow directions below from Blue Ridge

From GA-400 out of Atlanta:

Go GA-400 North to Dawsonville.
Go past the North Georgia Outlet on left, and Home Depot on Right.
Take a Left on GA 53 West at stoplight. Go through “downtown” Dawsonville. Stay on 53. Go 5 or so miles from “downtown” Dawsonville, and take a right on GA 183. Take a left on GA-52 at stop sign. Go 23 miles. Enter east Ellijay, GA. Take a right on to ramp to GA 515. Go 15 miles past Elijay, GA to Blue Ridge. Then follow directions below.

From GA 515 in Blue Ridge:

Turn right at East 1st Street just past the Family Dollar sign and just before Waffle King. Go one block to the stop sign and turn left on Old Hwy 76. Go one block, pass ACE Hardware and turn right on Aska Rd. heading south. Go 8 miles and turn right on Stanley Creek Rd. directly across from Toccoa Riverside Restaurant on left. Go 3 miles. The road will turn to gravel. Look to right for trail path. You can park on the edge of the road. Watch for turtles crossing, we saw two. You will hike 1/4 mile to Fall Branch Falls. The path to the bottom of the falls and the observation deck veers off to the right. You might want to stop here before heading up to find the box. If so, come back to the main path and continue up. You are heading up to the top of the falls. Before reaching the top, you will see a large rock right in the middle of the path shaped like a diamond. Two trees have fallen that cross the path to form a large "V" around the rock. Since they cross the path, they may have been cut away. After the rock, take 8-10 steps and veer right on a small rocky path. Take another 7-8 steps and look for a sort of rectangular shaped rock leaning against a boulder ahead and on your left. The rectangular rock is 2-3 feet long and has a space between it and the boulder. The box is tucked into this space. Please replace the box carefully and then go back to the path to continue to the top of the waterfall.
