Placed by A-Bear.
The Bald Eagle was checking me out 10 Dec 03 as I checked on this letterbox. So fun.
Directions: Take Exit 35 of I84 and head north on Northside Rd. Turn left at the Sugar Factory onto Karcher Rd. Turn left onto Lake Ave and follow this road until you see signs to turn right to the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center where you can park.
The gate to access this stamp is only open M-F from 8am-4pm or Sat. 9am-4pm so this limits your ability to reach it. However, the opportunities to see an assortment of birds is a must see on Lake Lowell.
Clues: Follow the 1/2 mile loop on the Nature Trail. I'm hiding somewhere between the four and five. From the 4 follow the narrow makeshift trail 33 steps at 170 degrees. Find me resting under some rocks at the base of a tree (you must pass the trees with the 27 to find me).
Once you've stamped in please hide me well under the rocks as I'm little, but easy to see if the 2.5" diameter rocks don't cover me. Enjoy the rest of the trail.
