****MISSING****
Walden Pond State Reservation
Park in Walden Pond Parking Lot
Admission is $5
Cross the street
Follow the path down the hill to the Main Beach
Follow the signs pointing to the House Site
Take the Sherwood Trail
Follow these signs
Continue straight along the trail
Cross between 2 ponds
Keep Walden on your left
Follow the trail up the hill to the House Site
Walk in to the stone "house"
Stand by the hearth, and read
"Beneath these Stones lies the Chimney
Foundation of Thoreau's Cabin 1845-1847
'Go thou my incense upward from this
hearth'"
Spot the site of the woodshed ahead and to the left
Behind the woodshed, stand at the stone designating the back left corner of the shed
Spot a small, less traveled path
To the left of a more traveled path
Take the less traveled path
Follow this trail until you see another wider , grassy Trail cut through the woods
Stand at the intersection of the two trails
Face the trail you just came from
To your left, you will see a large oak tree, covered in lichen
Stand at the base of this oak tree
4 feet away, you will see another oak tree, inches away form a white pine
At the base of these two trees
3 fallen trees intersect
At the intersection of these 3 logs
Look in the bed of leaves and pine needles
Here you will find Thoreau's Treasure, and end your quest
Stamp in, Trash out
Return the box exactly as you found it
