Easy letterbox about 35 minutes round trip with ~20 paces off-trail. Compass required. Use bug dope.

The Stone Arch Bridge letterbox is nearby.
Directions:
* From Cold Spring Rd parking, follow trail towards sanctuary and arch bridge.
* On the Russell Bird Sanctuary loop trail, find the westernmost bench which seats the observer with a view to 210 deg magnetic. (There are three benches on the trail.)
* From the bench, walk SE on trail for 52 steps, stopping at a large pine tree on the trail.
* Head 160 deg for 22 steps to another large pine tree.
* Face 40 deg and spot another large pine about 14 steps away. Box is half-way between these two trees under log.
