The fiddle is central to the music of this area of Cape Breton Island. These clues will lead you to Fiddle-Dee-Dee.
From Rt. 19 go west on W. Mabou Road (Colinsdale Rd).Follow the signs to W. Mabou Beach Trails, about 3.7 mi. from Rt.19.
Park in the last beach parking lot and read the interpretive panels to see the trail maps. From here you can either go down to the beach and turn left and walk it down to a trail sign pointing up the hill which will take you to the end of Western Coastal Trail #1 or you can take this trail by turning left before the path to the beach. Either way you need to take the Western Coastal Trail#1 back toward the parking lot from the end.At the first new post with green arrow pointing alternative trail, start counting, 16 paces from the arrow there will be a path on the right, take it for 35 paces there you see a "bench tree". Sit and rest if you need to then look under the south side of the seat, under the rock.
