Each year, some of the group leaders from the Gallagher Fitness Resources Women's Beginning Walking and Running Clinic head to the Olallie Lake area for a camping weekend. Last year many were introduced to letterboxing. This year we decided to place one to commemorate our tradition. Enjoy! Please let us know if you locate Fanny.

The Fancy Flamingos Flew East From the West,
Walking and Squawking and looking to Nest.
They started at Olallie and kept right on going,
Lucky for them no boats they were towing.
They looked and the looked for a place set to land,
For tents to be pitches, and shelters to stand.
They headed for Horseshoe the lake up the hill,
Bumps they went over, shocks they did kill.
They went past site one, two three and four,
knowing there weren't that many more.
With swimming and fishing they wanted to do,
They needed a place to launch a canoe.
The lake could be entered from site number nine,
So unpacking commenced of the cars full of wine.
The flamingos were busy - morning and night,
Swimming in the lake, getting things just right.
They started getting sleepy and took one last trip to the loo,
In a large group of course to avoid things that go Boo!!
While heading back one little flamingo lost her way,
She looked for a place to land 'til the break of day.
Fanny headed on back the way she had started,
but she heard noises from the right so to the left she darted.
Across from a meadow with six standing guard,
up the little hill she climbed - it wasn't very hard.
She went 15 paces as quick as can be,
past the crossed fingers on the right she could see.
Behind a stump between 4 and one more,
She curled in a ball and started to snore.
So shake your tail feathers and come up to find Fanny at rest,
Follow the clues and give it your best.
Two more clues for those who might have got lost,
I'll tell you for free there is no great cost.
If you get to a meadow with two waving Hi!
You should turn around as you've already gone by!
