HIGHLAND DRIVE PARK LETTERBOX
CHILD FRIENDLY (PLAYGROUND)
BIKE FRIENDLY
PET FRIENDLY
Your journey begins at HIGHLAND DRIVE PARK in Lincolnton. From Hwy 150 in Lincolnton turn onto Buffalo Shoals Rd. Just a short ways up Buffalo Shoals Rd, Highland Drive turns off to the left. About a mile up on the left is Highland Drive Park.
Park in the lower lot. You will see a baseball diamond in the corner. Take the paved trail just East of the baseball field. Follow the trail around the sharp curve. When you come out of the curve you will see several piles of rocks on both sides of the trail. After you pass the rocks start counting your steps. 95 steps (5'7" tall person steps **TeeHee**) from the rocks the trail curves to the right. At the curve is a small clearing to your left. Leave the paved trail and walk into the clearing. 30 steps into the clearing if you look to your right you will see a tree on the very edge of the woods. What you're looking for is under a piece of concrete at the base of this tree.
Don't venture too far off the trail. Private Property borders the park very close on all sides.
If you want to stroll all the way around the trail it's a 1 mile walk back to your car.
Please be sure box is closed and concrete is on top.
BRING YOUR OWN INK...... AND YOUR OWN PEN !!!
HAPPY TRAILS !
