11/19/10 - Still there and now with a new book.

5/2/09 - I had received some notes that this one was missing but it's alive and well, just buried under a lot of leaves. I've tweaked the clues a bit but they really didn't need changing. There is a new house being built next to the cemetery so beware.

If you hang around New Hartford long you will notice that there are a lot of sections with unique names. The cemetery in Town Hill is on Hoppen Rd, just off Rte 219. The official name is The Old Burying Place, Town of New Hartford, 1735. You'll probably need to park outside the gate. It was padlocked when we were there.

We love to wander around old cemeteries, even if they don't figure into our family history. This one is a mix of old and new. And imagine our surprise when, right off, we stumbled on another family history. Just inside the gate you will find a family plot of some very famous musical people. I had no idea they were connected with New Hartford or even Connecticut.

For the "box" you will need to take a walk all around and find the Beekly memorial where you can stop and rest. Facing this, go to the left, keeping left of the M*C. Go straight back to the stones to find #6 behind the big one.
