Clues

Do you remember the story of Wrong Way Rabbit????.......... He always goes the wrong way, no matter how many times he's been down a certain path or how many times he stops to ask for directions. He always reverses the numbers or mistakes his left for his right. He can often be seen sitting beside the trail, scratching his head, trying to figure out just where he is and how he got there.

Wrong Way Rabbit loves being a LETTERBOXER. He loves to hop along the trails and see all that he can see.

Wrong Way likes to travel to the nearby city of Lincolnton. His favorite place to go there is Highland Drive Park. It's just off Buffalo Shoals Rd, up Highland Drive about a mile on the left.

This is his 2nd letterbox !! He has taken a lot of time counting hops, looking at his compass and deciding on the absolutely perfect place to plant it.
The clues are below..... and please be very careful and remember to think like Wrong Way, or we'll see you on the trail, scratching your head and wondering where you are !!!!!

When you enter the park, drive down and park in the lower lot. You will see a paved trail on the east side of the park near the dumpster. A short ways down this trail you will see a bench. Sit on the bench for a few moments... this is where your WRONG WAY ADVENTURE begins !!!

WRONG WAY RABBITS DIRECTIONS:

Wrong Way says get up from that bench and hop to your right. Follow this wrong way trail until you see a cedar tree on the right. This little cedar tree has 5 trunks ! Wrong Way says facing away from the tree take 85 Wrong Way Hops to the right. See the tree on the left with the SMILEY FACE carved in it ??? Continue on 52 Wrong Way Hops past this smiley face tree. Leave the paved trail and turn right.... go 82 Wrong Way Hops into the woods. You'll see 2 two trunk trees, one small and one medium sized. Wrong Way has hidden his letterbox behind the medium sized tree, under a rock!

Please be sure the bags are closed good and the rock is on top.
BRING YOUR OWN INK..... AND YOUR OWN PEN.

WRONG WAY HOPES YOU HAD AS MUCH FUN FINDING HIS LINCOLNTON LETTERBOX AS HE DID HIDING IT !!!
Be sure to let him know that you have found it !! He'll be so happy !!!
He hops all over the piedmont.... he may hide a few more !!!!
