The Nike Shoe was previously located in Nike Park Warrington, PA. After a long and arduous journey it finally found a new home. It is now located on the Pomperaug trail in Kettletown Park Oxford.

Trip time about an hour and trail not appropriate for small children.

Start your quest at Jackson Cove Park Oxford, CT at the end of Jackson Cove Rd. Park at the end of Jackson Cove Rd or you may be able to park in the beach parking lot letting them know you are going hiking on the trail.

Head into the woods across from the park gate and cross the creek over the bridge and head uphill on the blue blazed
Pomperaug Trail. In about five minutes you will pass a log cut to clear the trail and soon cross a wooden bridge. Right turn at the campfire and a right at the fork away from the lake passing a NO GROUND FIRES sign on the left on a tree 10 feet up. Follow blue blazes thru rocks and uphill. (Watch for deer in the area.) Follow trail to T and triple blazed tree with Pomperaug and Crest Trails signs. Go left on Crest Trail and uphill with trail now marked with blue and white blazes. Crest Trail almost makes a loop here so be sure to go up not down. Pass pyramid rock on the right next to the trail, then downhill and up again. Just before going downhill again find tree on right next to the trail with a small hollow at its base. Stand to the right of this tree and go 15 steps uphill. Look behind rock with 6"x 2' rectangular rock in front. Box is in back under 2 more rocks.

Please replace carefully and retrace your steps to the car or continue to hike the full Crest Trail.

Let us know abot your journey and the condition of the box and its contents.
