This letterbox was placed by my two boys and I after a summer of fun searching for other letterboxes. The trail starts in Valley Falls Park, which is 2 miles off of I-84, exit 66.

Once you've parked at Valley Falls, face the pond. Start your search by walking toward the West side of the pond. Right after you pass the lifeguard hatch, you'll see a Braille Trail on your right.

Enter the trail, stopping at the stations to read about the old mills that used to occupy the area. While you're hiking and reading you'll hear the sound of the Tankerhoosen River trickling through the trees.

Right after you go over a bridge follow the path to the right, not the left. Soon after you pass Braille Trail station 13 you'll come to the river. Turn right off the Braille Trail, and follow a small path along the river. This path winds right next to the water, and will bring you out to Valley Falls Road.

Here you'll need to walk briefly along the road to cross over the stream to the other side. Make sure you don't cross the street, though! Once you're on the other side of the stream go back into the woods on the path. You'll see a blue marker posted high.

When the path forks, veer left. Up a short hill and you'll see a long tree that's fallen to the left. Right by the tree, the path is guarded by two trees, standing like sentinels by castle gates. Stop as soon as you pass the two trees. Turn 90 degrees toward the right. Walk about a dozen steps straight ahead through a fern filled area and you'll come to a small stony shelf, about three feet high. Look down, and to the right, and the letterbox is sheltered by a flat stone at ground level, resembling a small cave.

Once you're done, head back to the Braille Trail, and continue on back to the main part of the park.
