My 8-year-old son was inspired to pay homage to the Frankenbox duo in Falls Church -- and here's the result!
George Mason Park is on Braddock Road opposite DeQuincey Street. As you head up the gravel road, you'll see a sign that says GEORGE MASON GARDEN PLOTS (GARDENERS ONLY). We rationalized this by saying that we were planting a letterbox.
Continue on the gravel road as the garden plots start. As the road forks, take the left branch. It quickly changes to a grassy drive. Go straight on until the woods' edge. At the NO DUMPING sign, follow the narrow trail. Continue past the (temporary, hopefully) landmark of the pink Barbie flip-flops, along where the English ivy grows to your right.
A new trail starts off to your left - where the roots lie aboveground. Start counting 30 steps at the turn. When you come to a small clearing, stand in the center of the 3 trees. Look to your left at the pile of downed branches. Midway along the largest of the downed branches, Count Dracobox is hiding.
Continue walking straight on the trail to return to the park's open grassy area.
