When we returned to the island this year we were disappointed to discover that many of the Island letterboxes that we had previously enjoyed finding have since gone “missing”. Hence, we decided to create additional Vineyard boxes, that will hopefully have a longer shelf life.
First, find the island town that was once known as Holmes Hole.
Watching out for many strolling black dogs, walk west along its Main Street, passing the Liberty Pole Memorial on your left and a bank of stones on the right.
Continue on until you reach a wonderful house of books, on the left side of the street. Go inside, enjoy the air conditioning, and turn left, into the children’s section.
Facing the desk of the head, look onto the shelves to the right of the desk, searching for item # J Ref 028.1 Koz . Check it out - but do not remove this volume from the site!
