***THIS BOX FOUND 5/08 THANKS TO A WONDERFUL FELLOW LETTERBOXER BUT STILL NO WINE BARRELS...CHECK HERE LATER TO SEE IF/WHERE REPLACED***

This lobster was a traveling lobster, but now he is tired of being my personal stamp. This lobster was purchased in Bar Harbor because I eagerly wanted to begin my letterboxing adventures. This was way back in 2002, with my then boyfriend, now husband of almost 6 years, before I knew how to carve. This lobster has been with me through the years of letterboxing, bringing me to a 'F count' of 89. Now I have carved a new personal stamp that includes my two daughters who letterbox with me and it is with great sadness that I retire my traveling lobster. However, I hope you enjoy finding him. Be sure to find some of his brother lobsters at 'Lost Lobster' in SW Harbor, 'Maine Event' in Bar Harbor, and 'Lobster Letterbox' in Belfast.

Clues to the box:
Take Route3 to Mount Desert Island and continue on Rt3 towards Bar Harbor. Approximately 3 miles from the traffic light at the head of The Island, you will see a sign for Traveling Lobsters and then a sign for Sweet Pea's Winery, both on the right. Pull over at the wine barrels. Reach into the pile of wine barrels, behind the entrance sign to find the letterbox.

Please be careful pulling to the side of the road as this is a high traffic area. Due to the large volume of traffic, please be discreet when retrieving this box...you could even pretend to be taking a photo of the barrels...... Thanks.
