Lets go to the movies #1
Kid Friendly (Playground)
Pet Friendly
Not toooooo far to walk. Some steps... but easy terrain.

1975
A Best selling book by PETER BENCHLEY is brought to the big screen. It is directed by STEVEN SPIELBERG.
This is A very well known movie starring ROY SHIEDER , ROBERT SHAW and RICHARD DREYFUSS. It has had several sequels, each one having the very same, very distinct background music. In fact, JOHN WILLIAMS won an Oscar for Best Musical Score.
Some memorable quotes from this classic are:

"This was no boating accident" (HOOPER)

"You're gonna need a bigger boat"(BRODY)

"Back home we got a taxidermy man. He gonna have a heart attack when he see what I brung him."(QUINT)

This movie is the very first JAWS !!

Shark movies have come and gone since this was released back in 1975, but none can compare. Even all these years later...... hearing someone hum the background music.... "bom BOM.......bom BOM.....bom BOM"........ while you're in swimming.... is guarenteed to give you the creeps !!!

Your hunt for this MOVIE MANEATER begins at Rankin Lake Park in Gastonia. Rankin Lake Park is easily accessable from 321 just north of the I 85 JCT.
Rankin Lake Park is a very nice place to spend an afternoon with your family. They have a playground and several picnic sites as well as a Frisbe golf course.

Park in the parking lot at Rankin Lake Park. If you have a disc or a frisbe, play through the frisbe golf course !! Or just locate frisbe golf basket # 5. At the #5 basket look to your right.... take the concrete steps up the hill. At the top of the steps there is a clearning. See the island of Bonsai trees ???? Sit on the edge of this island of trees with your back to the telephone pole. At about 10:00 you'll see a small grove of 4 trees surrounded by bushes. Your MOVIE MANEATER is hiding in those trees covered by sticks and leaves.

From up here in the clearing you can view Rankin Lake. It's very beautiful, but has been fenced off so you can't get close to the water. Perhaps that's for your protection.... just in case a MANEATER lives in Rankin Lake !!!!

BRING YOUR OWN INK and YOUR OWN PEN !!

Please be sure to bag the book and stamp... place it in the box and put the box inside the outer bag.... the box doesn't have a tight seal.
Rehide well !! Thank you for GOING TO THE MOVIES with us !! We hope you have enjoyed RANKIN LAKE PARK.
