****THIS BOX HAS DISAPPEARED. 9/22/2007 WE WILL REPLACE IT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.****
From the City of Kewaunee take County Rd. C (off of Hwy 29) to a left on County Rd. F in Footbridge. Immediately after the left onto Cty. F you will see the sign to Bruemmer County Park on the left side. Turn in and park anywhere along the edge of the park, by the big rocks.
Once in the park walk to the south end of the park where you will find a chain link fence with some stairs that lead down to a small zoo area. Stop to check out the bear, pygmy goats, sheep, deer, peacock, raccoon, and pheasants.
Exit the zoo area to the south. Go out in the parking lot to the sign that reads Kewaunee Limestone kilns in the center of the turnaround. Once at the sign turn directly around and face the limestone rock wall. Look for the cedar tree on the right side (The bear will be to your left). What you seek is behind the cedar tree, below the light pole, in a crevice in the limestone wall. It is hidden with some rocks and brush.
Please be discrete, this small park can busy on the weekends in the summer. Happy Hunting.
