These three boxes are all hidden in or near the Ravine at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky.
Directions from I75:
Get off at exit 87 and go left (coming from north) or right (coming from the south) towards town. Stay on the eastern bypass until you get to Lancaster road. Turn left onto Lancaster and go through one light. Turn right onto University Drive and find a place to park.
Once you have found a parking spot you will need to find Daniel Boone. He is located on the corner of University Drive near three flagpoles and the Keene Johnson Building. From Daniel Boone's statue you will need to cross University drive and go right on the sidewalk and read a little bit about EKU's Ravine.
# 1. After reading about the ravine head left on the sidewalk along the ravine until you get to a paved path on your right. Follow this path downhill towards a lamppost. Once you have reached the lamppost you should be able to see several shrubs grouped together; they are hiding 3 stone seats. Find the three stone seats dedicated to Kunkel and Soufley. Sit on Soufley facing towards the stage in the ravine. Your prize is several feet in front of you.
# 2. Your next step is to take a seat in the last row of the amphitheater in the very center. You will be under a few trees from this seat. Look out over the stage and you will see an evergreen directly over the center of the stage. Go to the base of this tree. From the base of the tree look towards the red brick building. Go to the place where the stone wall and brick wall meet. From there backtrack 15 paces passing by one tree and stopping at the next. Your prize is hiding in a hole in the branches.
# 3. To find the last letterbox you will need to return to the evergreen. From here you will need to follow the paved path keeping the red brick building on your left. When the paved path meets cement go left and down the stairs back towards the red brick building. When you get to the brick building there will be a staircase leading down. Go to the base of the stairs and there will be a door. Turn around. Your prize lays under the stairs in the center of the cinderblock.
Please note that these are camoflauged screw top containers. This is my first time using these containers so please let me know if they are not holding up. The ravine is a very busy place on warm days so please be discreet and rehide well. Enjoy your adventure and let me know if you find them or not!
