The box is located on the military might of Corydon.
Clues: To find the starting location is simple “You can’t miss it.” But in a battle you’d wish this would miss you.
Hint A: It’s a “Happy” location.
Hint B: I towed you it was a happy spot.
Hint C: If you still haven’t found it, review your theories then analyze how it’s erred? And if that doesn’t work maybe you should talk this over with a friend and hear what they have to say.
Hint D: When teasing out these clues, be sure to use every tool in your tool kit, and beyond that I can’t give any more hints.

Combination sequence
1. The last time Chandler was governor, for how many years did we have this Happy Governor?
2. Take the year he ended being the baseball commissioner and subtract the year he started as a state senator.
3. American Legion woodford Post _ _ Versailles Kentucky minus Sons of the American Legion Squadron _ _ Henderson Kentucky plus 1, as this is the first letter box in Union County.

*** Imporant notes ***
This is a store bought stamp and a store bought logbook. I apologize for that, as hand carved stamps are such a key component of this hobby.
Please note Permission was received from an official at Corydon’s city government before placing this letterbox. This might be the first letterbox in Union County but this is not a “normal” one. I want to firmly establish that most letterboxes are hidden out in the woods or out in fields. When placing a letterbox at a location like this permission should be sought out first. City officials have also been supplied with the answers to this riddle so they may remove this box at any time.

A humorous aside here. I just found out that Corydon is in Henderson County not Union. Thus I've changed the name to include the word (area). My other box "Morse Code" is the one the should have the title 'first in union county'.

I was contacted by a person that had figured out the combination and found the box but couldn't get it to open. I went to check out what was going on and while there I tried it once and it didn't work.
I tried it a second time and it still didn't work then with a frustrated and stronger than normal tug it did open.
I then tried it a couple more times and it just takes a little bit of muscle to open it. There must be something up with the padluck.

So when you go to apply a little bit more than normal pressure to open it, please do so with two hands and don't accidently damage the latch that the combination lock is on.
