This is the second of two cemetery letterboxes in the Gila Valley. The first is the Pima, Arizona Letterbox. This letterbox is at the Thatcher Cemetery.
Turn south onto Stadium Ave. from highway 70. Follow the road out, passing Eastern Arizona Community College, over the railroad tracks, on past the John Mickleson football stadium, and beyond the intersection with Ballpark Rd.
Go straight into the cemetery area, but not up the hill to the cemetery itself. Go through the two tall trees and turn off the main road to the right by the wall.
Behind the wall, (by all of the weeds) where the taller section meets the lower wall you will find a pile of rocks covering the letterbox.
There really are glowing headstones here. Pretty creepy when you first see them.
Good Luck!
