Sky Meadows Forest LbNA #34747

Sky Meadows State Park is accessed from Route 17 near the intersection with Route 50 just west of Upperville. You'll need a trail map which can be obtained at the entry gate or at the Visitor Center. Take the Gap Run Trail and walk past the campground area. You will pass the last campsite identified as number 6 on your left. Continue along the trail and look for the old stone fence that is visible on the right and the left sides of the trail. From the point on the trail where you are adjacent to the stone fence, walk 10 paces forward. The letterbox is hidden on the right edge of the trail under a large rock to the left of the triple trunk tree. For a great view of the valley, continue up the trail to the Piedmont Overlook.
