This set of boxes is called THE HUNDRED ACRE WOOD. It's specially designed for children and each box contains a stamp of one of A A MILNES charecters !!! (Small store bought stamps)
Grown Ups.... are welcome too. **LOL** EVERYONE LOVES POOH & FRIENDS !!!

This is a great place. There are several trails and we saw many bikers and hikers as well as people walking their dogs.

Lets visit Pooh and his friends in the HUNDRED ACRE WOOD.
Here in NC, the HUNDRED ACRE WOOD is in Morganton.
If you head west on HWY 70 into Morganton and turn right onto HWY 18 North, you will travel up about 1 mile and you'll come to RIVER VILLAGE ON THE GREENWAY on the left. It's shops and restaurants. Behind these shops and restaurants is a nice boardwalk that is over the river. If you cross over onto the boardwalk beside BOARDWALK GRILL and turn left, you'll come to the trailheads.

Box #1 POOH

Take the paved trail past the trailhead marker...... Follow the trail until you come to the 3rd wooden rail fence on your right alongside the river. Count back about 19 steps (5'7" tall person steps) and look up the hill on the other side of the road. See the large birch tree behind the fallen log ???? Pooh is expecting you... he's in a hole at the base of the tree, in the center of a V in the roots., covered by sticks and leaves.

Box #2 TIGGER

Tigger lives a bit farther along the trail. Continue along the trail. You'll follow alongside a wood rail fence on your right. Soon you'll pass a field of Ivy on the left and then a HUGE rock. Tigger is up behind this rock. .....
After you pass the rock, hike up behind it.... you'll pass the number "25"... then you'll see a small grove of trees. Tigger is behind the twin trunk tree, covered with leaves.

Box #3 PIGLET

Continue on the paved trail. You'll pass a very nice overlook on the right, then a trail leading down to the river. Keep going.... until you see a tree on the right with a big BUBBLE on the bottom. A short ways farther along you'll pass the number "20" and a wood barrier on the left. Go to the end of the barrier and count back 8 layers of wood in the wood barrier. You'll see 3 rocks. Piglet is expecting you.... he's under the left side of that first rock, covered by leaves and a smaller rock.

We hope you have enjoyed your visit to THE HUNDRED ACRE WOOD. I know Pooh, Tigger and Piglet were very happy to see you !!!

Bring your own ink and your own pen !

HAPPY TRAILS !
