Level of Difficulty: Easy
Time: .6 mile round-trip

Directions:

A Pond’s Visitor was planted at Dyken Pond in Cropseyville. Take Route 2 East out of Troy. From the Tamarac School (on the left), go 1.7 miles and turn right onto Route 79 (Blue Factory Road) following signs for Dyken Pond. Go 2 miles and turn left onto Route 80 (Madonna Lake Road). Go 2.2 miles and turn right onto Dyken Pond Road. This is a dirt road. Follow it for 2.5 miles (Please note that there is a trailhead at 1.7 miles, do not stop here) to the parking area.

**You may want to print a map before heading out. You can print one from here: http://www.dykenpond.org/trails/

Clue:

Park in the lot and find the gravel road/path at the edge. Take this road/path. At the Canoe Launch sign, take a left. Then veer right towards the brown building. At the right corner of the building, take the unmarked trail on your right. Pass 3 buildings. At the “Y” go back 5 paces. Turn to your left and go 8 paces into the woods to a 4 ft. stump with a downed tree next to it. Between the downed tree and the stump, you will find A Pond’s Visitor.
