***A special thanks to bridgetscouting for helping me maintain this box!!***

Directions: From I-65, take exit 38 Smiths Grove Exit. Follow Main St. to the end of town and at the T, turn left. Take the first right onto Beeler at Custom Design Memorials. Pull into the cemetery and park on the small washed out gravel road to your immediate right.

Horror movie king John Carpenter was born in Carthage, New York but he and his family moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky in 1953. Many of his movies have Bowling Green references. This letterbox holds one of five John Carpenter stamps planted in the Bowling Green area.

Halloween Box:
On October 31, 1963, six-year-old Michael Audrey Myers stabs his sister Judith to death with a kitchen knife at their home in Haddonfield, Illinois. He is sent to Smith's Grove-Warren County Sanitarium and placed under the care of psychiatrist Dr. Sam Loomis. Loomis suspects that there is more to Myers than meets the eye and plans to have him committed indefinitely, as he senses tremendous rage behind Myers' vacant stare. Loomis explains to Sheriff Leigh Brackett: "I spent eight years trying to reach him, and then another seven trying to keep him locked up because I realized that what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply…evil." At the age of 21, Myers escapes from Smith's Grove while being transferred.

You are pursuing the Halloween box. Your journey begins at the Kirby Arch. Stay on the road and go forth until you must make a choice. Ray is not the way, do not go into this Goodnight. You are going the right way if you see the small Scull-ins the ground.

Veer to the left toward the Stone, Hugh went to Heaven on Sept, 7 1911.

At the fallen tree mason choose right and you will be Wright by the circle you can not miss. You will be Royalty at the Kirby ball if you head straight toward the small building. But, pay close attention in the near distance to your right. You are seeking the leaning Jennie under the sticks that met her fate in 1906. It was said, the day we visited she held roses of red.

Go toward that which Jennie forever stares with stars in her eyes. You'll be glorious to see, from under the banner of stripes that proves our soldiers did not cease, a gravestone the shape of the bishop's piece. This bishop's name is Nancy Jackson, born on the eve of all children's wishin'.

Face the road and walk toward the tree. What you seek is in a hole in the back, well above the knee.

A special thanks to HermitCrab who helped me plant this box! We hope you had as much fun as we did! If you have time, look around the cemetery. It holds Smiths Grove history as well as it's future.

Please make sure to carefully reseal and rehide the box in it's original location
