I placed this box in honor of a good friend that likes Pedernales State Park. She won the title of Little Miss Comfort this past summer. She represents our town well and we are very proud of her.
Pedernales state park is located in Blanco County east of Johnson City.
Activities include camping; picnicking; hiking; river swimming; tubing; wading; mountain biking; fishing; bird watching (checklist available); and horseback riding (Customers must bring their own horses and no overnight equestrian camping is allowed.) River recreation is in a limited area beginning at the Youth Group Camping area and down river to the park boundary. See park map for details (PDF 119.7 KB).
To get to the box, take the trail down to the swimming area. As you get to the steps where the cedar fence it on the sides of where the steps start, turn around and walk back @17 steps. Face right and see a cedar tree with connected trunks and an opening in the middle. The box is covered with rocks. Please rehide well. Enjoy the park
