***This letterbox is currently missing. I will try to get it back as soon as possible.

In Rathdrum, is one of the oldest wooden buildings in Idaho. Built in 1905, the Methodist Church started out as a Presbyterian Church. Nearby Post Falls had a larger Presbyterian congregation so they agreed to switch denominations very early on. The over 100 year old beautiful church is vacant now and for sale. Maybe someone with some imagination will buy it and do something wonderful with it.
Directions:
Coming into Rathdrum on Highway 53 from Washington (the west), turn left onto McCartney St. at Granny's Restaurant. Behind Granny's and across the creek is The Methodist Church. To find the letterbox, from the entrance to the church, trave west across the street to the cement old bridge over Rathdrum Creek. Peer over the cement railing to the creek bed. On the left side of the bridge will be a large cottonwood tree. Look to the base. It's hiding under some rocks. Removal should be attempted by an adult because of the water. Be careful of critters and respectful of neighbors and businesses. Please replace the letterbox under the rocks. This is a well traveled area so be very secretive!
