This box is planted in honor of my husband's 60th birthday. It is my first plant and should be relatively easy.
Take Route 179 or Route 20 (depending on which way you are coming) to East Hartland. The quaint post office is located 1/4 mile form the intersection of Route 20 and Route 179. It is opposite the school and town hall.
From the post office parking lot, turn left onto Route 179. Follow Route 179 heading towards Granville, MA for about 3 miles.
It has been quite a while since I have check on this box, so I suggest not doing it right now. I plan on going soon to update it and will let you know when that is done.
Turn left onto East Pell Road. Follow this road until it becomes dirt. Park at the paved turn around area.
On foot follow the dirt road past the green gate and over the brook.
Since my husband was born in 1947, go approximately 47 paces from the brook. Look for the three finger tree on your left.
From there go approximately another 88 paces and look for the V-trees on your right a few yards from the road. Head towards them. Take a left and go around the giant bolder. There is a stamp straight ahead. Turn left before the stump on the hill and loose rocks.
"Make a Wish" is hidden to the left of the round moss covered rock in the hill, hidden under a log and a couple of rocks.
This is heavily misquito infested area and bears and moose have been spotted in the area.
