There was a frog who loved Letterboxing. But one day he met an evil old man named Marc. Marc hated letterboxing. Only the frog did not know this. The frog asked Marc to join him on a letterboxing adventure. Evil Marc declined, telling the frog that "Letterboxing did not even sound like something I'd be interested in." This naturally crushed the poor frog. (For, how could anyone dislike Letterboxing?) Disheartened by this shocking rejection, the frog wondered into an area of Lassen County that was just beautiful. (In fact, it's Slick Kitty's favorite spot in all of Lassen County.) Once there, he met other frogs. Naturally, these frogs not knowing anything about Letterboxing thought it was a brilliant hobby! So, these frogs dubbed him the FROG PRINCE, because only someone so noble would never truly lose heart and continue on, despite minor disappointments.

Where the Frog Prince Lives:
From Susanville, take HWY 139 North. When you reach Willow Creek Picnic grounds, pull to the right and park near the bathrooms. From the Information Wall, walk to the brown bridge. Facing Sweagart Flats, turn to your left about 90 degrees. You will see a "broken" fence. Go through the "broken" fence, down the minor grassy path. This path will lead you into the wooded cove. In this cove there are trees that have grown "backwards". The "backward" tree on you right is Where the Frog Prince Lives. This tree looks like it has 4 trunks. Under the 4th trunck, the one closest to the ground is where the Frog Prince resides. Simply reach under. PLEASE RECOVER WELL!
