Go to Long Road in Fairhaven, Mass. 02719. It's between Adams Street and Alden Road.
Park in the small parking area nearer to Alden Road. There's room for a couple of cars. There's a "NO Motor Vehicles" sign, but that doesn't mean you can't park there. The other parking area has a "No Parking" sign so I wouldn't chance it.
Walk through the barrier and walk all the way to the end of the path. On the right there is a single tree and a cluster of two trees in the path.
Follow the path to your right 150 steps, curving around the marsh.
Then look to your right and you'll see a path into the woods. Just 8 steps in, look right and you'll see a fallen rotted log. The letterbox is under/behind the log in a black plastic bag for camouflage and a piece of rotted wood on top.
After you find and rehide the box, go back around the marsh till you get back to the cluster of trees. Instead of going back to your car, take the path to the right and pass by the marsh. There is a nice tiny pond by the shore of which the Orioles and other birds nest.
I've seen 97 species of birds over the years in this area.
