Instructions to the letterbox once at the location.
You can park your car off of Harbor Blvd. where you will find a small parking lot. At the entrance to the park from this parking lot you see a paved path. Take this path to the flagpole. Once you arrive at the flagpole head East up the Stairway to Heaven. You will come to a dividing path. Here choose the path least traveled (the path going East) up the stairway. You come to a paved road. This a decision point to “Stairway to Heaven Box” or to “His Stripes Box”.
Stairway to Heaven Box (It seems that this LB was moggled, His Stripes is still good):
Looking straight ahead from your decision point there is sign “Do Not Enter”, follow that paved road. It is ok to go on the road. The sign is for cars not to enter that one-way road. Continue up this paved road, walking up hill about 20-ft from the "Do Not Enter" sign, and stay to the right hand side looking for a bush, about 6-ft in diameter. Jump onto the grassy area of this bush. Look underneath in the bush. You have found Heaven.
His Stripes Box:
Take the paved road heading (I-111)(P-5)(I-27)(P-2)(I-22) from your decision point above. As you walk up this paved road you will come to a white steel pipe gate. Look up on your left hand side and find a post with a light meter. At the light meter there is a bush. Search on the south side under the bush. You are healed.
