Difficulty: Easy
Time: 15 minutes. Distance ~ 200 yards round trip
Please bring your stamp, a stamp pad, pen and an old rag to wipe
off the box/your hands.

NOTE: This letterbox was originally located at the 54MM but that rest stop is being permanently closed so this box was moved to this new location by a very helpful letterboxer with the trail name of RXSUNFLOWER. A BIG OLE THANK YOU GOES OUT TO YOU!!!!!!

The "Safari Man- On The Highway/ and Interstate" series depicts things
one might see as they drive the highways of the U.S.. These are targeted
mainly for rest stops but might pop up anywhere along a highway. This
letterbox is titled TRAIN CROSSING. Happy Traveling!!

I-81 mm129 **NORTH BOUND** IRONTO REST AREA. ENTER REST AREA AND GO TO LAST PARKING SPOT -NEAR DUMPTSERS. ENTER GRASSY AREA, AND FIND LAST PICNIC SHELTER AWAY FROM RESTROOMS. AT GRILL, WITH CAR AREA TO YOUR LEFT AND TRACTOR TRAILOR AREA TO YOUR RIGHT, TURN RIGHT AND TAKE ABOUT 40 STEPS. YOU WILL GO PAST BUSHES AND AT LAST BUSH AT SIDEWALK EDGE WILL BE THE BLACK LETERBOX IN THE STEMS OF THE BUSH.
THIS IS A HIGH TRAFFIC REST AREA AND THE BUSHES AND GRASS ARE TRIMMED OFTEN, SO CAREFULLY RE-HIDE IN STEMS OF BUSH.
When done stamping, please double bag the log book and seal the zippers completely on the baggies to prevent the log from being ruined by moisture. The pouch is not waterproof. And I hope you feel a little more relaxed after getting out from behind the wheel for a while. Please drop me a line, when able, and let me know the condition of the box and any other comments you would like to share. Cordially, Glenn/Safari Man of Vincent Ohio
