I'm sorry to say this letter box is missing.

Distance:1.5 miles
Difficulty:Easy(we did it with a 6 & 7 yr. old)
Total elevation 2420 feet
160 feet uphill (from the sign at the laurel path)
moderate hike
6.2% grade

For this you will need to bring your own pen and ink for stamping as this is a micro.

The RIDDLE: where does the fairy keep her magic fairy dust?

In Hendersonville drive down hwy 25 past the Fresh Market. At the intersection of Highland Lake Rd. and 25 drive 9/10 of a mile. Turn right on the road that sounds a little like "petite stream". Turn left into the parking lot. A famous man once lived here(the name is like: 1.granular material made up of fine mineral particles. It is a naturally occurring, finely divided rock and 2. German, Dutch word meaning fortified castle)a house of plays is across the street. Walk along the split rail S. Find the sign that reads "American Classic" and go down the path. The Dam bridge needs to be crossed. Sometimes to the right as you cross you can see scaly, limbless, elongate reptiles from the order Squamata at the base. Look to the left and you might notice the Chelydra serpentina (common snapping turtle)and Lepomis macrochirus(brim)swimming in the water. See the sign that says "Trail to House" put the rock wall to your right and follow the trail. Notice the old fence grown into a tree (or it could be the other way around). Now walk past 1,2,3,4,5 benches. Take 32 paces of a wee girl child and find U shaped root (be careful not to trip on it). Keep going toward the barn. 2 little blue houses will be on your left the 6th bench on your right. Around the 7th bench vere to the left and see Mr Mowers and his friends behind the wire. "Look at the six eggs in a mocking birds nest, listen to 6 mockingbirds..." Continue on and look for a little trail that cuts through the laurel. Take this trail. Here your eyes might get a little glassy. Up the root stairs and to another sign. Don't take BIG and Don't go home take the third trail up. Half way up a Y made out of roots is in the trail. Soon a Flat Rock, a square metal post and some fallen trees near the top. At the very tippy top another bench for you to sit and rest. Look straight ahead to the fallen tree that looks like swiss cheese. The micro-letter box is in the right end in a film cannister. It is under pine needles, bark and a nifty rock. Please be careful putting it back.

Make sure and read the waiver at Letterboxing.org before attempting this find.
