To find the Penguin Palooza....

Head out of the parking area and through the main red gate. Continue on this wide path and stay on the main trail, crossing a stone bridge, until you get to a meeting area known as the ‘School Room’. Find the park map on the large sign board (you will be facing the pond). Take the red trail to the right of where you’re facing, the one that travels along the upper edge of the pond. When you get to a small fork, go right staying on the red trail. Bear left at the next fork, continuing to the left until you get to a wooden bridge. Once over it, continue until you see orange trail marker and a road. Go left onto the road. When you see the very large wood bridge spanning the pond ahead of you, find small red trail bending sharp right into the woods (as of September 2020, this path has become a little overgrown); follow with the swampy area to your right. Continue for a short bit, bending around a tree whose foot is in the trail. See the rock wall to your left and look for 2 smaller trees at the left of the trail (the one on the right will be smaller). Take 7 large steps forward. Turn and go to the wall to find Penguin Palooza!

To find Bathtub Bubbles:

Turn around and walk back from Penguin Palooza until you’re back in daylight surrounded by low bushes. Find a trail to the right that goes up, staying on red. Walk a bit and pass by a rock wall on your left, angle right, staying on red. When you come to a clear intersection, take a quick right and then quick left (still on red). Trail rises a bit and then drops slightly to a wooden bridge. Over the bridge, stay right. The trail then meanders a bit. Look for a red trail marker on a largish tree to the left of the trail; from there take 6 large steps to a smallish sapling, closer to the left edge of the trail. Look left into the scrub to see a flat rock cropping. Walk into the woods past this rock and search for the forked tree to the right. There you will find Bathtub Bubbles!

To find Nature’s Little Miracles:

Continue on the red trail away from Bathtub Bubbles. As you begin heading down, you will see a large rock cropping to your left and come to a wooden bridge. A little bit further, cross over two small consecutive wooden bridges. The trail will soon curve around a large rock formation that looks like a snout, then continues up hill. As the trail rises, you will come to a switchback (double U-turn to the right and then the left), and then you’ll come to a bald, flat rocky area. Cross over this and pick up the red trail again entering back into the woods, following it to the left (bear left when you see two separate red markers). Watch for the trail to veer off to the left and down to a wooden bridge. A little bit further, pass two double red trail markers and bear right. About 25 steps further, turn right onto the yellow trail. Cross another wooden bridge and walk for a bit. Carefully look for a log that must have fallen across the trail (some years ago!) and had the middle section cut out to clear the trail. Standing there, walk 12 large steps, then turn right and walk in between 2 large rock outcroppings. Bear hard right around that rock cropping. This is where you will find Nature’s Little Miracles!

To return to the parking lot, you have several choices. We stayed on the yellow trail until we came to a gravel road (brown trail) and followed that back to the parking lot.
