Hendricks Head Hiking Trail is maintained by the Boothbay Region Land Trust. Please remember to stay on the trail (except for the wee detour you will make to find the box) and leave only footprints in this beautiful spot.
To reach Hendricks Head Trail, part at the Hendricks Head Beach (at the end of Beach Road, on Southport Island). Walk back past the 2-3 beach cottages and back towards the store until you reach the trailhead.
Note the yellow trail markers on trees. At the 13th marker you will see a faint animal trail heading East. Follow this trail for two trees and look around the base of the second tree on the right. Good Luck!!
Please remember to cover the box when you are through with it.
As you return back along the trail notice the tall, tall trees and listen for the sounds of the waves and boats and beach people growing louder and louder!
