Hi, by now everyone has heard about the unfortunate accident that Chuck Straub endured on 11-23-02 while looking for the Climb every Mountain box in the My Favorite Musicals Series. He was poking around too close to the the edge of the cliff and slipped on some wet oak leaves and over he went.He fell a pretty good ways down, got banged up and bruised but nothing broken. He had to hang on and pull himself back to the top, thank God he did not get hurt any worse than what he did.We know that it happened a while ago but when We saw this stamp we just had to get it,now that he is all better we can kid around about it a little bit.(NOTE THERE ARE NO LETTERBOXES NEAR THE EDGE OF THE CLIFF AT ALL.)

Directions: From RT.195 in Mansfield turn on to Chaffeeville RD.Travel down until you see the sign for the Coney Rock Preserve on the right, and park along the side of the road. Enter the trail and you will start by going up hill following the white dots of the spring trail, twisting and turning up the hill the trail will bend to the right and there will be a seasonal stream coming down a hill on your left. A little further up the trail, there will be another trail coming in from the left. The name of this trail is the Chaffee Trail. Take the Chaffee Trail and follow the white dots until you come to a T with the Olsen trail. To your left you will notice a stone wall that comes to a corner continue straight at 70 degrees, keeping the stone wall to your left. After a while you will come to another Y and the dots will turn yellow, keep going straight South East. Follow this for awhile and you will pass through a stone wall. Then you will come to a place with some burnt stumps from a fire long ago. In a short distance the trail will come to an intersection and a large signboard. Turn left and go straight, you turn left over a small stone wall and up a hill to the over look and a memorial bench. When the trail comes out at the over look and bench, the blazed trail will turn left but you turn right (West) for 35 steps walking with the cliffs on your left. After 35 steps stop and on your right in the woods a little ways is a oak tree that has broke in half but it has new branches growing from its top, at the base of this tree is a charred piece of log. Behind this tree under a flat rock is the letterbox. You can return the way you came.
