There are two ferries that will get to you Chebeague Island, ME. The Casco Bay Ferry Lines run out of Portland, ME and lands at Chandler's Cove on the southern end of the island. The Chebeague Transportation Company runs a ferry out of Cousin's Island to the Stone Pier on the northwest end of the island.

The island is 5 miles long and 3 miles wide, and a whole day can easily be spent enjoying the island, its people, and its views. Bring your bikes and stop at Ed's Market for lunch or enjoy a lobster roll at the Crab Shack.

---------------------------

There is a short 9-hole links style golf course on the north west end of the island, where the Chebeague Transportation Company ferry lets in. The letterbox is located on the 9th Hole Tee box, so if you are out to golf for the day, this would be perfect.

You can access the box without playing a round, however. From the Stone Pier, head up the street to the top of the hill and turn right. A little ways down the road, head into the tennis court parking lot on your right. In between the courts and the shed, you will see a path into the woods. Go into the woods and turn left, crossing a bridge that leads to the 3rd hole Tee box and the 9th hole Tee box. The 9th hole Tee box is the further one away from the bridge.

Standing on the Tee box facing the fairway, the box is located behind you in the back left corner beneath a square log. Please re-hide well and enjoy!
