Both of these boxes were restocked and rehidden at or 10/25/2010 meeting. Please rehide and cover well. The park is beginning to be quite popular, it has public restrooms, a nice play area along with a pavilion.

These two letterboxes were placed by Girl Scout Troop #5073 and Cub Scout Pack #517, they are sponsored by Faith Walk World Outreach Center in Silvis.

Phipps Prairie Park, from Avenue of the Cities in Silvis turn South on 12th Street, the park is located to the east at the end of the street.

There are Two Trails in this park, one on the East end of the Park and the other on the west.

Box #1
This is the trail you would want to use if you were pushing a stroller or a wheelchair.

Down the path, past a place of rest,
Do not stop it's not the best.
Cross the bridges made of wood,
Do not stop, you're doing good.
The path gives you a choice,
Stay staight and raise your voice.
Do not go right,
Stay on the path that is white.
At the trails end a tree,
Where oh where could our box be?

Box # 2
This trail is steep!

Our trail starts at a rock
A Steep path
A footbridge through the Mud
A hollow tree
A deer path to the left
To the right where a stream might flow
Aroung two big trees
Through the stream
Up the hill Between two trees
At the Y, before the Prairie
The remains of an Old Tree
A bunch of rock that do not belong
